2013 was a hell of a year, wasn’t it?An impossible year. A year that stretched on and on and yet now we’re here. At the end. The story is over and it had been such a good story, too. It had all the right elements.
Wonderfully flawed, lovely characters.
There was conflict.
And oh the plot twists. There were so many plot twists.
I’m not sad to see it go, the fantastic impossibility of 2013. It doesn’t hurt, penning the final word in that book. The ups, the downs, the mountains and valleys and prairies that were flat, so flat, and stretched on for ages were all part of the journey but I’m okay with it ending, as wonderfully tiring as it was. Because 2014 is on deck, and it looks good from where I’m standing. It looks full of paradoxes and war cries and magic. 2014 looks like a Great Perhaps, a Grander Maybe, and I’m ready to seek it.
See you kids on the other side, where the page is fresh and promises are sweet and the possibilities are endless.
